Welcome to Yucatan Vacation Guide! You may be wondering, “Why another website about the Yucatan or Riviera Maya?” I’ve asked myself that very same question as there a number of websites where you can book trips the RM or find information about specific hotels. In fact, I’ve probably visited all of them over years in my search for more and more knowledge on this incredible holiday location. I found that many of these sites can be quite helpful. Yet I grew tired of having to visit so many different sites to find the information and/or travel tips I needed.

So I began to gather bits and pieces of information and helpful tips and keep them in an ever expanding data base that I would refer to for my own trip planning or to send out to friends and family when they asked questions about traveling to the Yucatan. My informational data base continued to grow haphazardly while at the same time, requests for this information continued to trickle in. I finally began to see that I needed a better way to keep track of my growing cache of Riviera Maya info along with an easier, more coherent, way to share it with those who were asking. Thus, Yucatan Vacation Guide was born.

This site is not trying to sell you anything. You can’t actually book your trip on this Website… (yet!) Instead, this site is all about offering specific and helpful information regarding the Yucatan region (specifically the Riviera Maya), its unique towns, culture and attractions along with some of the best travel tips that I’ve discovered while enjoying my own adventures on Mexico’s Caribbean coast.
